Guwahati: In a shocking incident, two gang-rape accused who were released on bail set fire to the home of the rape survivor in Uttar Pradesh’s Unnao district, seriously injuring two newborns.
According to reports, the victim’s mother was beaten and her home was burned down by a mob of men led by the two rape suspects after she refused to retract her accusation.
A young Dalit girl from Unnao was the victim of rape. The gang-rape of the Dalit girl took place on February 13, 2022, according to the occurrence. She gave birth to a boy in September of the same year.
The two injured infants are currently fighting for their life in a hospital in Kanpur.
The rape victim’s six-month-old child, who was born after the 11-year-old was impregnated, and her two-month-old sibling are the damaged infants, according to the police.
The rape victim’s infant son has 35% burns and her sister got 45% burns, according to chief medical superintendent Sushil Srivastava.
The Uttar Pradesh Police is looking into those identified in the FIR as part of a thorough investigation into the incident.
