Guwahati: Faf du Plessis’ 84 runs and Virat Kohli’s half-century helped Royal Challengers Bangalore defeat Punjab Kings by 24 runs in the 27th Indian Premier League (IPL) match of current season, which took place at Punjab Cricket Association Stadium on Thursday at 3.30 pm.

PBKS decided to bowl against RCB after winning the toss.

The squad scored 174 runs in the first innings because to the great performances of Virat Kohli and Faf de Plessis, who both struck half centuries.

In terms of bowling, Mohammed Siraj lived up to both the team’s and the supporters’ expectations by taking four wickets, followed by Wanindu Hasaranga’s two, Wayne Parnell’s one, and Harshal Patel’s two.

It should be noted that in today’s game against PBKS, Virat Kohli assumed the captaincy again, with Du Plessis playing as an impact player because he was unable to participate due to a rib injury sustained in their previous encounter against Chennai Super Kings.
