Guwahati: 11,692 infections were reported in the last 24 hours, a modest decrease in the daily Covid-19 cases tally for India.
Data from the Union Health Ministry show that the number of active cases in the nation grew to 66,170 from 65,286 on Thursday.
Moreover, 10,780 people made a full recovery from the virus in the previous 24 hours. According to the government, the national Covid-19 recovery rate has been recorded at 98.67 percent, and the active cases currently make up 0.15 percent of all infections.
The figures updated on Friday showed that the death toll had grown to 5,31,258 with 28 deaths, nine of which were reconciled by Kerala.
India has so far administered 220,66,31,979 crore doses of the Covid vaccine under the national vaccination drive (95.21 cr second doses and 22.87 cr precautionary doses), of which 3,647 doses were given in the last 24 hours. The health ministry reported that 2,29,739 tests were completed in the past 24 hours.
A nationwide mock drill was conducted in accordance with the prime minister’s instructions in order to evaluate the functionality of the infrastructure, and participants were informed of its status. Additionally, the budget allocations for medications and vaccine raw materials as well as the COVID-19 immunisation program’s expenditures were examined.
