Guwahati: In a shocking incident, several burglars looted over Rs 1 lakh in cash from a home in Kokrajhar district of Assam.
Information indicates that burglars broke into one Phani Pandit’s home in the Barmanpara area of Kokrajhar. Pandit works as a teaching assistant.
The incident took place in the wee hours of Friday.
Phani Pandit alleged that all members of the family were rendered unconscious by the thieves.
According to reports, the burglars stole gold jewellery worth Rs 15 lakhs and cash totaling Rs 1,10,000. The burglars also grabbed three cell phones.
Meanwhile, police arrived at the scene of the incident and have started a thorough investigation.
According to the authorities, the three stolen phones were tracked and recovered. However, two others who were involved in the incident have also been arrested.
The authorities are still working to find the other party who was engaged in the incident.
