Guwahati: Indian industrialist and philanthropist Ratan Tata has reportedly received the Order of Australia (AO), the country’s highest civil accolade.
According to reports, he received the highest civilian prize for his longtime support of Indo-Australian ties, particularly in the fields of trade, business, and philanthropy.
Australia’s High Commissioner to India Barry O’Farrell sharing a few photos from the ceremony took to Twitter and wrote, “Ratan Tata is a titan of biz, industry and philanthropy not just in India, but his contributions have also made a significant impact in Australia. Delighted to confer Order of Australia (AO) honour to Ratan Tata in recognition of his longstanding commitment to the Australian and Indian relationship.”
