Section 144 Imposed in Assam’s Kaliabor over Tiger Threat

Guwahati: Prohibition orders have been imposed in Kaliabor of Assam due to the threat that a tiger that has entered the area with two cubs poses, reports emerged on Wednesday.

The incident occurred at Silghat area of Kaliabor.

As per reports, the tiger was seen at a tea garden and prowling in the area.

No injuries have been reported so far.

The district magistrate has imposed Section 144 CrPC, which forbids the movement of individuals near and inside the area, despite the fact that no fatalities have been reported, as a preventative measure due to the perceived harm to human life, livestock, and other domestic animals.

The order will be in effect until the tiger and the cubs are captured.
