Arunachal: Criminals Fire at petrol pump, Injuring Driver, Kidnapping cashier
Guwahati: In a horrific act of violence, a group of unidentified gunmen on Wednesday night opened fire on the owner’s driver and driver of a Bharat Petroleum filling station.
The incident was reported at Momong locality in Namsai district of Arunachal Pradesh.
According to reports, the miscreants fired at least three shots at the owner of the petrol pump’s driver. He was then injured by a bullet and was rushed in a severe condition to Namsai hospital.
The injured person has been identified as Mithai Marandi.
On the other hand, the group is said to have kidnapped Dinesh Sharma, the cashier at the petrol station.
The Arunachal Pradesh Police suspect that members of a rebel group were involved in the incident. However, they didn’t name any particular group.
Meanwhile, the Arunachal Pradesh police have begun a search operation to find the offenders.
The police and other emergency services arrived on the scene right away and have started an investigation.
The attack’s motivation is yet unknown, but the authorities are looking into every option.
Security has been increased in the area, and investigators are working to find the employee who was kidnapped.
