Storm Leaves Trail Of Destruction in Assam’s Teok

Guwahati: Several houses were destroyed and there was a power outage in the area as a result of the devastating storm that struck Teok in Jorhat of Assam on Thursday night.

Majkuri Village suffered significant loss as a result of the storm’s destruction of a 100-year-old banyan tree.

The storm caused great destruction to valuable trees in the yard of Yadav Baruah, who is a resident of the village.

Since a few days ago, Tinsukia and Hojai districts in Assam have been particularly affected by torrential rain and devastation hailstorms.

A report from the Assam State Disaster Management Authority (ASDMA) states that a damaging storm on the night of April 22 affected 41,410 persons in 144 villages across seven districts.

The devastating natural catastrophe caused partial damage to as many as 675 houses (both kutcha and pucca) and total damage to 208 people (both kutcha and pucca) despite the fact that there have been no reports of crop loss in the last 24 hours.
