Guwahati: Bharatiya Janta Party (BJP) National President JP Nadda is anticipated to present the party’s electoral platform before the Karnataka elections on Monday. The election manifesto will be presented in the company of party elder BS Yediyurappa and Chief Minister Basavaraj Bommai.
According to reports, the party platform may emphasise initiatives to improve youth welfare, infrastructure, and women’s status. A special announcement might be made for the young people and female students who have passed class 12 in order to encourage first-time voters.
Meanwhile, Prime Minister Narendra Modi criticised Congress harshly for comparing him to a snake while speaking at an electoral rally in Kolar on Sunday. The next Assembly elections will yield a “befitting answer” for the BJP, according to PM Modi, from the people of Karnataka.
The Karnataka assembly election is scheduled to be held on May 10 and the results will be out on May 13. On April 19, the BJP released the list of star campaigners on their official Twitter handle of the Karnataka unit.
According to the list, Yogi Adityanath, the top executive of Uttar Pradesh, Amit Shah, the union home minister, Jagat Prakash Nadda, the chief minister of Assam, Nitin Gadkari, and Nirmala Sitaraman will all campaign.
Notably, Congress made a number of pledges to the residents of Karnataka prior to the elections, including 200 units of free power.
