40 Tourists Rescued by BRO Near Nathula

Guwahati: As many as forty visitors who were trapped owing to severe rains near Nathula were successfully rescued by the Boarder Roads Organisation (BRO) Karmayogis.

The Karamyogis of BRO’s Project Swastik supplied food and shelter to the stranded visitors inside BRO detachments. The BRO worked nonstop to save the tourists and assure their safety in spite of the bad weather.

The tourists were reportedly stranded as a result of persistent rain and landslides that obstructed the route going to Nathula. The BRO sprang into action immediately and started a rescue effort to get the trapped visitors out of there.

The BRO Karmayogis put in countless hours to clean the route of debris and open it, bringing much-needed relief to the stranded tourists.

The tourists were sent back to Gangtok safely once the route had been opened by BRO’s project Swastik. The BRO has been known for its unflinching dedication to duty and selfless devotion under the capable leadership of their DG Lt Gen Rajeev Chaudhry.
