Guwahati: The Assamese film “Enabled” won second place in the eighth annual Short Film Competition on Human Rights, according to the National Human Rights Commission (NHRC). The movie “Enabled,” directed by Mrs. Bhawani Doley Talu, tells the tale of a child with special needs and emphasises the need to alter people’s perceptions about Divyangjan and the prejudice that parents practise during the rearing of these children, compromising their rights to life, liberty, equality, and dignity. The Nilesh Ambedkar film “Chirbhog” has been chosen to get the first award, which is worth Rs. 2 lakh.
