Guwahati: There was atmosphere of unrest in Guwahati on Wednesday after a man was allegedly abducted from the Minister Colony in Dispur.
The kidnapped man has been identified as Santanu Roy.
As per reports, Roy was allegedly abducted by two men dressed as police personnel who had come along with four other unidentified miscreants dressed in civil dresses.
Reportedly, Roy who hails from Dhubri, was employed as an electrician at the Minister Colony in Dispur.
This shocking incident has instilled fear among the locals since the city’s highest security area is now threatened by prowling attackers carrying out their criminal activities under the noses of the authorities.
Surprisingly, the Dispur Police Station which is just a few metres from the high-security area, is unaware of the incident, which raises several concerns about the city’s security readiness.
This incident has also raised serious concerns about them while the city police and security management in the high-security area were unaware of the rising crime rates.
