Guwahati: The government of Assam will check people’s certificates again for hiring people for grade III and IV jobs in different departments. This will happen from May 15 to 22 with the help of the Assam State Level Recruitment Commission.
This was announced by Assam Health Minister Keshab Mahanta at a press conference at the Gauhati Medical College and Hospital (GMCH) on Thursday.
Addressing the media, Keshab Mahanta said, “The process of certificate re-verification in regard to the recruitment process of Grade III and IV posts will start on May 15 and end on May 22. We will make arrangements to expedite the recruitment of differently-abled candidates. The process will start at 9 am on May 15.”
“On May 15, the re-verification process will be held for candidates bearing serial numbers 1 to 134 of the Grade III posts. On May 16, the candidates bearing serial numbers 135 to 268 will be re-verified,” the health minister further informed.
Keshab Mahanta said that Grade IV students who took the recruitment exam will have to check their certificates again starting on May 17.
He said, “Re-verification of candidates’ certificates from serial numbers 1 to 140 will be conducted on May 17, 141 to 280 on May 18, 281 to 420 on May 19, and 421 to 552 on May 20.”
On May 22, people who got hired for healthcare jobs will have their certificates checked again, as announced by Mahanta. 268 people have been hired for Grade III jobs and 558 people have been hired for Grade IV jobs.
Earlier, the Assam Government made special rules for hiring people. The government plans to hire female workers from their local area to make sure they are safe and comfortable, as stated in the rules. This change will help more women work and feel safer while doing it.
The government will hire people from the Barak Valley area for jobs in the same area first, so that people who live there get to apply first. This will help people find jobs and make sure the region has a say in government decisions.
Moreover, the government wants to give first preference to candidates with disabilities who live in their own districts so they can easily work without facing any obstacles.
