Teacher trims hair of around 30 students during morning assembly in Assam

Guwahati: Tensions erupted after a teacher allegedly tonsured around 30-35 students at a school in Majuli of Assam on Thursday morning.

The incident was reported from Majuli English School which is run by Chakhesang Baptish Church in Kohima of Nagaland.

According to reports, the teacher allegedly mentally harassed the children by haphazardly cutting their hair during the morning assembly without their permission.

Reports further stated that the students have now stopped refused to attend classes since the teacher’s despicable behaviour has left them feel demoralised and emotionally damaged.

The school’s headmistress, who has since come forward to defend herself, claims that students repeatedly urged not to cut their hair but no one heeded her warnings. The teacher, identified as Nicky, allegedly carried out the act on her direction.
