Several Injured In Major Mishap At Assam’s Dudhnoi
Guwahati: A horrific tragedy happened on Saturday on national highway 17 connecting Dabli village in Dudhnoi in the Goalpara district of Assam to Borjhar in Guwahati. Several individuals suffered significant injuries when a passenger bus collided head-on with a pickup truck that was coming from behind.
As per initial reports, the passenger bus bearing registration number AS 17 B 6898 was travelling towards Krishnai when it collided with the passenger bus, AS 17 B 6898, which was on its way to Guwahati from Goalpara.
Witnesses said that the collision’s impact was so great that the bus was thrown off the road and the pickup truck was left damaged. As a result, the pickup truck’s driver became stuck inside.
Later, when police arrived at the scene, they used the assistance of the area to cut through the car and free the driver. The driver was immediately taken in serious condition to a hospital in Goalpara.
The driver of the pickup vehicle was identified as Noor Ala, aged 32, and a resident of Rampur in Krishnai.
On the other hand, the incident resulted in injuries for as many as 15 bus passengers. They were sent right away to the Krishnai hospital.
