Guwahati: The Charaideo district administration of Assam issued an order on Sunday rearranging the times of classes for all educational institutions (government and private) with immediate effect due to the rise in mercury.
The modified school hours are as follows:
Lower Primary Schools will open at 7:30 a.m. and close at 11:30 a.m.
Beginning at 7:30 a.m. and ending at 1:15 p.m.
School hours for high school and higher secondary institutions are 7.30 am to 1.30 pm.
It should be noted that numerous Assamese districts have altered the hours of the educational institutions as a result of the temperature increase.
Students at the Fakhruddin Ali Ahmed High School in Biswanath, Assam, fainted earlier on Saturday during the morning prayers.
During the morning prayers, students who were unable to endure the sweltering heat passed out. According to reports, the pupils were taken by ambulance to the Biswanath Ghat Hospital and then transferred for more sophisticated medical attention to the Biswanath Chariali sub-divisional civil hospital. According to accounts, none of the students are now in danger. But the oppressively hot and muggy weather had parents on edge.
