CBI Continues Investigation Into Junmoni Rabha’s Death for 4th Consecutive Day

Guwahati: The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) is looking into the unsolved death of Morikolong Sub-Inspector (SI) Junmoni Rabha for the fourth day in a row on Sunday.

According to reports, DIG Lovely Katiyar is supervising the team from the investigative agency as they interview Sumitra Rabha, the mother of the slain police officer, inside the Guest House.

The CBI is also questioning Raja Irshad, the officer in charge of the Dhing Police Station, and Manoj Rajbongshi, a suspended police officer.

The government mansion of Junmoni Rabha in Nagaon is currently being meticulously inspected for any information that could shed light on the death of the deceased police official, which is being treated as suspicious.

The deceased official’s family members have sought a thorough probe into his demise.

It should be noted that Junmoni Rabha, an Assam Police Sub-Inspector (SI) who was involved in a number of issues, died in a car accident at Kaliabor in the Nagaon district of Assam.

The accident happened on May 16 at Sarubhagia village on National Highway 37 when the vehicle Rabha was riding in collided with an approaching container truck having the registration number “UP 78UT 4518.”

According to reports, the accident’s massive force caused the car to be completely smashed. Local police arrived on the scene and hurried the SI to Kaliabor Sub-Divisional Civil Hospital for medical care, but upon arrival, the hospital’s staff pronounced her dead.
