Rishiraj Kaundinya of the AAP, contesting from Sonitpur, draws attention with seven cases against him, spanning charges of cheating, forgery, and criminal conspiracy.

Similarly, Gaurav Gogoi of the INC, vying for the Jorhat seat, faces a single case encompassing serious charges like assault on public servants and rioting.

Other candidates facing legal battles include Alam Ali of the Bahujan Maha Party, entangled in charges related to criminal breach of trust and cheating, and Sailen Chandra Malakar of the Bharatiya Gana Parishad, accused of criminal trespass and mischief causing damage.
