A Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) jawan, identified as 57-year-old Badeshwar Rai, was discovered deceased in Hailakandi. The unfortunate incident occurred at an orphanage camp located at Panchgram in Hailakandi district, where Rai was stationed on duty.
Preliminary investigations conducted by a five-member police team suggest that Rai may have taken his own life, allegedly using his service weapon. However, the exact circumstances surrounding this tragic event remain unclear.
Rai’s body has been transferred to the Kalinagar Sarojini Primary Hospital for further examination and procedures.
Additional police personnel, including sub-police from Hailakandi, have been deployed to the scene to facilitate ongoing investigations into the matter.
