Prime Minister Narendra Modi unveiled the Bharatiya Janata Party’s (BJP) manifesto for the upcoming Lok Sabha elections on April 14, named ‘Modi’s Guarantee 2024’ or ‘Sankalp Patra’. The manifesto places a strong emphasis on the empowerment of women, upliftment of youth, and welfare of the poor, aiming to strengthen the pillars of a developed India.
Titled ‘GYAN’, the manifesto outlines schemes dedicated to the ‘Gareeb’ (poor), ‘Yuva’ (youth), ‘Annadaata’ (farmers), and ‘Nari’ (women). It also encompasses initiatives to foster prosperity, bolster international relations, and preserve the country’s heritage.
PM Modi emphasized that the BJP’s ‘Sankalp Patra’ reinforces the four pillars of a developed India – youth, women, poor, and farmers.
Key promises in the BJP’s election manifesto include the implementation of ‘One Nation One Election’ and a ‘single electoral roll’, alongside initiatives to elevate more individuals to the status of ‘Lakhpati Didis’ and eliminate electricity bills through the PM Surya Ghar Yojana.
Highlighted commitments in the manifesto include:
1. Inclusion of elder citizens and the transgender community under the Ayushman Bharat Yojana.
2. Continuation of free ration under PM Garib Kalyan Anna Yojana for the next five years.
3. Construction of 3 crore houses and provision of cheap pipeline gas for households.
4. Enforcement of the Uniform Civil Code and One Nation One Election.
5. Empowerment of 3 crore women to achieve Lakhpati status.
6. Priority housing for specially-abled individuals under the PM Housing Scheme.
7. Expansion of healthcare services targeting breast cancer, cervical cancer, anaemia, and osteoporosis prevention.
8. Implementation of strict laws to curb misconduct in recruitment examinations.
9. Increase in MSP of crops and launch of Krishi Infrastructure Mission.
10. Commitment to elevate India to the rank of the third-largest economic power globally.The BJP’s manifesto aims to address a wide array of issues and challenges, presenting a comprehensive vision for the nation’s progress and development.
