Richard Vanlalhmangaiha, the Lok Sabha candidate for Zoram People’s Movement (ZPM), has wrapped up his exhaustive election campaign spanning two weeks across Mizoram. Beginning on April 2nd and concluding recently, Vanlalhmangaiha traversed the length and breadth of the state, engaging with a diverse range of constituents.
Throughout his campaign trail, Vanlalhmangaiha connected with villagers, farmers, government officials, and community members, witnessing a strong wave of support for ZPM throughout the region.
Encouraged by the response, he remains optimistic about the party’s prospects in the upcoming elections.Emphasizing ZPM’s independent stance in the electoral arena, Vanlalhmangaiha highlighted the party’s decision to contest without forming any coalitions.
He noted the multi-party participation in Mizoram’s political landscape, with contenders including MNF, Congress, PC, BJP, and one independent candidate.
Vanlalhmangaiha outlined key developmental priorities for Mizoram, including bolstering agricultural industries, implementing educational reforms, advancing railway infrastructure, and promoting tourism growth.
Additionally, he advocated for the creation of new opportunities in sports and entrepreneurship to empower the youth of Mizoram.
Assessing the political landscape, Vanlalhmangaiha acknowledged the competitive environment, recognizing the potential for the ruling party to secure victory in the elections.
Despite the challenges, he remains committed to representing the aspirations of the people of Mizoram through ZPM’s platform.
