Tragedy struck Karachi on the morning of April 19, as a suicide attack claimed the lives of at least two people. The attack targeted a vehicle carrying foreign nationals, according to initial reports.
The incident occurred in Landhi’s Mansehra Colony, where a van carrying five foreign nationals was struck by the suicide bomber. Fortunately, all five occupants of the vehicle survived the attack, although the assailant, along with two other terrorists, lost their lives in the explosion.
Police at the scene reported that the attackers, riding on a motorcycle, specifically targeted the van. Gunfire was also heard during the attack, adding to the chaos and confusion in the area.
In the aftermath of the attack, authorities discovered a bag filled with grenades and a Kalashnikov rifle at the crime scene, raising concerns about the potential for further violence.
“A suicide jacket and a grenade are tied to the terrorist’s body,” police confirmed, indicating the grave nature of the attack. A bomb disposal team promptly arrived at the scene to ensure the safety of the area.
