In Balurghat constituency of North Bengal, a clash erupted between BJP state chief Sukanta Majumdar and TMC workers during the second phase of Lok Sabha elections on April 26.
Video footage circulating on social media shows Majumdar in a dispute with TMC workers, alleging that they were crowding polling booths and chanting “Go back” slogans at him.
The second phase of elections also covers Raiganj and Darjeeling constituencies in West Bengal. BJP state president Sukanta Majumdar is contesting for re-election in Balurghat, facing off against seasoned TMC leader and Minister Biplab Mitra.
