Clashes broke out at a polling station in Moirabari, located within the Nagaon Parliamentary Constituency in Assam, on April 26, amid the ongoing Lok Sabha elections’ second phase across the country, including Assam.
According to reports, the clashes erupted at the No. 279 Durabandi Secondary School polling center after an argument ensued over individuals allegedly breaking away from the voting queue. The situation escalated rapidly, leading to a confrontation resulting in injuries to several individuals.
Police swiftly intervened to defuse the situation and restore order. The cause of the dispute was reportedly related to the organization of the voting queue.
