Tripura’s East Parliamentary Constituency Records 80.32% Voter Turnout in Peaceful Polls

In a commendable display of democratic fervor, Tripura’s East parliamentary constituency concluded its polling process without any disruptions, as confirmed by Chief Electoral Officer (CEO) Puneet Agarwal.

The final voter turnout for the constituency stood at an impressive 80.32%, reflecting the active participation of citizens in shaping the electoral destiny of the region.

Agarwal expressed his gratitude to all voters who exercised their franchise, emphasizing the importance of their role in strengthening the democratic fabric of the nation.

The elections were conducted across 1,664 polling stations spread throughout the East Tripura parliamentary constituency, ensuring accessibility and convenience for voters across the region.

With the completion of polling in Tripura, the electoral process has concluded in several states and union territories, including Kerala, Rajasthan, Manipur, and Tripura itself.

In the initial phase on April 19, polling was successfully conducted in all seats of Tamil Nadu, Uttarakhand, Arunachal Pradesh, Meghalaya, Andaman and Nicobar Islands, Mizoram, Nagaland, Puducherry, Sikkim, and Lakshadweep, marking a significant milestone in the electoral calendar.

Looking ahead, the third phase of elections is slated for May 7, covering 94 seats across 12 states and union territories. The anticipation mounts as the nation progresses further in the democratic exercise, with counting scheduled for June 4.
