Dima Hasao Residents Urged to Stay Indoors Following IMD Weather Advisory

In response to a weather advisory issued by the Indian Meteorological Department (IMD), residents of Dima Hasao District in Guwahati are urged to remain indoors from May 2 to May 4 until heavy rainfall subsides and weather conditions improve.

As a precautionary measure, all educational institutions will be closed during this period to ensure the safety of students and staff.

Meanwhile, the Transport Department and SP office are closely monitoring traffic conditions in the area. Presently, the Jatinga-Harangajao Stretch at NH-27 is inaccessible to all vehicle traffic until 4:00 PM today due to severe weather conditions.
