With anticipation building over the release of the 2024 Higher Secondary final examination results in Assam, officials have taken swift action to address the proliferation of rumors circulating on social media platforms.
Anurupa Choudhury, Deputy Secretary (Administration) of the Assam Higher Secondary Education Council, reiterated that no definitive decision has been made regarding the announcement of results. She strongly cautioned against the dissemination of false information and urged students and parents to rely solely on official notifications from the education department.
Despite efforts to verify the claims, Pankaj Barthakur, the director in charge of the Higher Secondary examinations, has refrained from providing confirmation.
AHSEC secretary Pulak Patgiri condemned the circulation of fake notifications, attributing them to miscreants seeking to sow confusion. He affirmed that the Assam Higher Secondary Education Council has yet to declare the final HS results and emphasized the need for vigilance among parents and students.
While rumors persist on social media platforms like Facebook and WhatsApp, reports suggest that the results may be published on the official website as per parliamentary directives. Choudhury hinted at the possibility of legal repercussions for individuals found spreading misinformation, underscoring the importance of exercising caution amidst the ongoing speculation.
