Lower Subansiri in Arunachal Pradesh experienced tremors today, May 8, as an earthquake measuring 3.1 on the Richter Scale struck the region. According to the National Centre for Seismology (NCS), the tremors were felt at 4:55 am local time, prompting concerns among residents.

This seismic event follows a moderate earthquake of magnitude 4.0 that occurred on May 1 evening, approximately 90 km away from Mon, Nagaland. The NCS reported that the epicenter of this earthquake was in Myanmar, emphasizing the regional impact of seismic activity.

Providing details of the Myanmar earthquake, the NCS informed that it measured 4.0 on the Richter Scale, with its epicenter located at Latitude 26.34 and Longitude 95.85. The earthquake struck at a shallow depth of 10 kilometers, amplifying its effects on neighboring areas.
