To ensure the unimpeded transportation of essential goods, 42 vehicles received escorts along NH-2, safeguarding their passage through potentially hazardous areas. Stringent security measures were enforced, with security convoys stationed along critical routes to facilitate the safe movement of these vehicles and safeguard the supply chain of essential items.
In a coordinated approach to enhance security, a network of 124 checkpoints, known as Nakas, was strategically positioned across various districts of Manipur, covering both hill and valley regions. These checkpoints served as vital checkpoints for conducting thorough inspections and monitoring individuals and vehicles passing through.
The effectiveness of these operations was underscored by the detention of 83 individuals across different districts for various violations, demonstrating law enforcement’s commitment to upholding order and ensuring public safety throughout the state. The proactive stance adopted by security forces reflects their dedication to preserving peace and stability in Manipur while actively countering insurgent threats.
