Police Crackdown on Cybercrime Nets 12 Arrests, Seizure of Vital Evidence

Law enforcement agencies conducted a series of targeted raids across Laharighat, Bhuragaon, Moirabari, and Guwahati, resulting in the apprehension of 12 individuals suspected of involvement in cybercrime activities. Led by Additional Superintendent of Police Samiran Baishya, 16 special police teams executed the raids, seizing a trove of incriminating documents, including SIM cards, Aadhaar cards, and PAN cards.

The operation, launched at 1 AM today, marks a significant step in the ongoing battle against cybercrime in the region, with over 200 arrests made since 2023. The confiscated evidence is poised to play a pivotal role in dismantling cybercriminal networks operating within the area.
