Marking the 8th Foundation Day of the Nationalist Democratic Progressive Party (NDPP), President Chingwang Konyak extended heartfelt greetings to the people of Nagaland, acknowledging the party’s journey since its establishment on May 17, 2017. In a sincere message, he expressed deep gratitude to Nagaland citizens for their steadfast support.
“On behalf of all party members, I convey warm greetings to the people of Nagaland. Founded on the principles of ‘Facta non Verba’, Deeds not Words, the NDPP has made remarkable progress in just eight years. Our achievements are attributed to the grace of God Almighty,” Konyak shared in a press release.
He underscored that the NDPP emerged in response to the populace’s call for change and a fresh political trajectory, emphasizing regional identity with a global outlook. Konyak commended the dedication and diligence of party members, along with the unwavering backing from Nagaland citizens, as pivotal to the party’s advancements.
Reflecting on the NDPP’s milestones, Konyak highlighted the successful navigation through two general elections (2018 and 2023), numerous bye-elections, and two Lok Sabha elections (2019 and 2024), securing significant triumphs despite being a relatively nascent political entity. He credited this triumph to divine benevolence and the concerted endeavors of NDPP members.
The NDPP President also expressed appreciation for the support and collaboration of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), acknowledging the synergy between the two parties.
“I extend my gratitude to all party members, the Hon’ble Chief Minister, and the NDPP Parliamentary Board for their unwavering backing of my leadership and their contributions to our party’s achievements,” he added.
Looking forward, Konyak recognized the remaining challenges and reaffirmed the party’s dedication to fulfilling its commitments of transparency, accountability, meritocracy, and good governance. He urged Nagaland citizens to persist in their support and collaborate towards realizing the vision of making Nagaland a “State of Excellence.”
“Let’s stand united and propel Nagaland towards progress,” Konyak urged, underscoring the significance of collective endeavor in attaining the party’s objectives.
