The family of Gautam Das from Baksa is enduring a distressing ordeal as they grapple with the sudden disappearance of their teenage son outside the state. Gautam went missing while traveling back home, with the family suspecting that he vanished from Malda railway station.
Despite their relentless efforts, the family has been unable to locate Gautam, leaving them anxious and desperate for any information regarding his whereabouts. They implore anyone with relevant information to reach out to them at 9957456875.
Recalling the events leading up to Gautam’s disappearance, a family member disclosed, “The incident occurred early Friday morning, around 12:15 AM. Gautam called me multiple times, expressing distress over an incident on the train. He mentioned witnessing something unpleasant, which prompted him to disembark from the train without his belongings. Although he assured me that it was a minor issue and that his bag remained on the train, he failed to call back as promised. When contacted later at 7:30 AM, he mentioned being at the ticket counter, attempting to resolve the situation.”
Despite their initial efforts, the family’s quest for Gautam led them to the Railway Protection Force (RPF), who clarified that the incident fell under their jurisdiction since it transpired in Malda. Undeterred, the family, comprising four members, journeyed to Malda and provided Gautam’s details to the RPF. They also visited the local police station, where they engaged with the Sub-Inspector (SI) to solicit further assistance in the investigation.
