Arunachal CM Lauds BCCI’s Groundbreaking Cricket Training Hub in Northeast

Arunachal Pradesh – Chief Minister Pema Khandu extended appreciation to BCCI Secretary Jay Shah for laying the foundation stone of a revolutionary training center in the Northeast, aimed at nurturing cricket talent from Arunachal Pradesh, Manipur, Meghalaya, Mizoram, Nagaland, and Sikkim.

Khandu hailed the initiative as a significant stride in enhancing the region’s cricketing prowess, envisioning the rise of cricket stars from the newly established hub. Taking to X, he expressed enthusiasm for cricket’s potential surge in popularity in the Northeast, courtesy of the cutting-edge infrastructure.

In his statement, Khandu remarked, “I am grateful to Honorary Secretary Shri Jay Shah for inaugurating the foundation stone for BCCI’s state-of-the-art training facility in the North East. The forthcoming infrastructure will groom aspiring cricketers and foster the nationwide love for cricket in the North East. I eagerly anticipate the emergence of cricketing luminaries from this hub.”

On X, Shah detailed the comprehensive amenities planned for the six states, including top-tier indoor nets, indoor swimming pools, and fitness centers. These facilities aim to provide cricketers with year-round training opportunities, bolstering their readiness and performance on the field.

This, coupled with the inauguration of the new pavilion in Mizoram, marks significant progress towards our goal of enhancing cricket infrastructure in the region.
