Congress MP Gaurav Gogoi has intensified demands for a thorough investigation into the NEET controversy, advocating for Supreme Court oversight to address mounting concerns raised by students and allegations of financial impropriety.
In his impassioned plea, Gogoi underscored the urgency of a comprehensive probe monitored by the Supreme Court, highlighting the inadequacy of the current judicial focus on 1,500-1,600 students given the magnitude of alleged irregularities. “Significant amounts of money have changed hands, and students nationwide are actively protesting,” he emphasized, underscoring the gravity of the situation.
Reiterating his party’s unwavering support, Gogoi affirmed, “Rahul Gandhi and the Congress party stand firmly with the students.” He lambasted the Education Minister, querying the basis for the government’s exoneration and the extent of consultations with affected students and parents. “On what grounds has the NDA been absolved?” he demanded to know.
“We will hold the NDA government accountable and ensure it addresses the grievances of students impacted by this controversy,” Gogoi asserted, highlighting the Congress party’s steadfast commitment to pursuing justice and accountability. These statements underscore Congress’s determination to champion transparency and equity in the NEET examination process.
