The relief efforts in Jiribam have been robust, with teams actively distributing essential items and daily necessities across various camps. Officials underscored the administration’s commitment to providing comprehensive support to all camp residents.
Education is also a priority, with plans to resume classes at Chingdong Leikai UPS from tomorrow. Teachers are prepared to facilitate learning from pre-primary to class VIII, ensuring educational continuity with the provision of required textbooks and stationery.
Health and nutrition are being addressed through the ICDS project, which is delivering supplementary nutrition to inmates at the Multipurpose Sport Complex Bidyanagar Relief Camp. This initiative aims to safeguard the health and well-being of children and adults alike amidst the challenging conditions.
Currently, there are 943 individuals sheltered across seven relief camps in Jiribam, including 353 children, 199 men, and 391 women. The district administration remains steadfast in its efforts to provide necessary resources and care, prioritizing the safety and welfare of all residents until stability is restored.
