Sikkim CM Prem Singh Tamang Assures Aid to Flood-Hit Majuwa Village, South Sikkim

Sikkim Chief Minister Prem Singh Tamang recently visited Majuwa village in Yangang, South Sikkim, which was devastated by a flash flood resulting in the tragic loss of three lives and significant damage to over ten houses. During his visit, CM Tamang met with affected families to extend reassurance of government support and rehabilitation efforts.

CM Tamang expressed deep concern over the impact of the flash flood on Majuwa village and reiterated the government’s commitment to providing comprehensive assistance for the affected families. He assured that all necessary measures would be taken to aid villagers in recovering and rebuilding their lives in the aftermath of this natural disaster.

The flash flood in Majuwa village follows a recent landslide in Gauthaley, Samdong, which also caused extensive damage to local infrastructure and disrupted daily life. The government remains actively engaged in relief operations to address these challenges and restore normalcy in the affected areas.

CM Tamang’s visit underscores the administration’s proactive stance in responding to natural calamities and its commitment to ensuring the well-being of Sikkim’s communities during times of adversity.
