Rahul Gandhi Criticizes PM Modi Over Varanasi Incident and Education System

Congress leader Rahul Gandhi launched a pointed critique against Prime Minister Narendra Modi, highlighting an incident where a sandal was allegedly hurled at his convoy in Varanasi. Gandhi asserted that the once-commanding aura of fear surrounding PM Modi has significantly diminished.

Speaking at a press conference on June 20, Gandhi remarked, “Nobody in the country is afraid of him (PM Modi) anymore. His chest, once claimed to be 56 inches, seems to have shrunk to 30-32 inches.”

Gandhi elaborated, pointing out a notable shift in public sentiment towards PM Modi. “Previously, there was fear if anyone even thought of raising a hand against him. Now, that fear has vanished,” he stated, suggesting a decline in Modi’s influence both nationally and within his own party.

The Congress leader attributed this change to what he described as Modi’s strategy of intimidation losing its efficacy. “His method was to instill fear, but that fear is now dissipating,” Gandhi added, hinting at internal discord within the BJP.

Furthermore, Gandhi asserted that the opposition has effectively undermined Modi’s once-dominant political image. “The persona of Narendra Modi has been dismantled by the opposition; it has been thoroughly discredited… These are indeed interesting times due to the robust opposition,” he remarked.

Taking a swipe at the Prime Minister’s leadership, Gandhi remarked, “There were claims that Modi ji could stop the Russia-Ukraine war. However, he seems unable or unwilling to tackle the issue of ongoing paper leaks within India.”

Gandhi alleged that the prevalence of paper leaks reflects BJP’s influence over the education system. “The education sector seems to be under the control of BJP’s parent organization, leading to such incidents,” he concluded.
