On June 22, authorities arrested Sathaolen Kilong, 24, for extorting money from truck drivers near Bongmol Village on NH-2, Kangpokpi district. Kilong was apprehended between Kalapahar and Bongmol villages, where officials seized incriminating items, including a synthetic leather purse, a mobile phone, and Rs 4,100 in cash.
Concurrently, in a separate operation conducted in the Waithou foothill area of Thoubal District, security forces uncovered a substantial cache of arms and ammunition. The recovered arsenal included:
