Gangtok, June 24 – The Travel Agents Association of Sikkim (TAAS) has assured tourists that Sikkim remains a safe and vibrant destination despite the temporary closure of the road leading to North Sikkim.
Sonam Norgay Lachungpa, President of TAAS, reassured travelers that all major tourist attractions in Sikkim, including Gangtok, Nathula Pass, Tsomgo Lake, the Silk Route, Pelling, Yuksom, Namchi, and Ravongla, are fully operational and accessible. These destinations continue to offer enchanting landscapes and renowned hospitality to visitors.
In a proactive move to bolster tourism confidence, TAAS has initiated a campaign encouraging local hoteliers and tour operators to create and share videos showcasing the safety and charm of Sikkim. These efforts aim to showcase the region’s natural beauty and warm hospitality, ensuring potential tourists are aware of the unaffected areas ready to welcome them.
Despite the inconvenience posed by the temporary closure of the North Sikkim road, TAAS remains committed to providing tourists with a memorable and secure experience in Sikkim.
