Former Sikkim Minister R.C. Poudyal Missing

Former Sikkim Minister Ramchandra Poudyal, widely known as R.C. Poudyal, has been reported missing since the morning of July 7, 2024. Poudyal left his residence in Singtam at 9 a.m. with plans to visit family in Setipool but did not return as expected by 2 p.m. the same day.

Concerns escalated among family members as hours passed without any contact from Poudyal. Despite efforts to locate him through relatives and friends, there has been no information regarding his whereabouts. Consequently, his family filed a missing person report at the Pakyong Police Station, prompting authorities to initiate a search operation.

Poudyal was last seen wearing traditional attire—a kurta and pajamas—on the day of his disappearance. His sudden absence has deeply unsettled his family and the local community. The family has issued a heartfelt appeal for anyone with pertinent information to come forward, stressing the importance of public cooperation in ensuring Poudyal’s safe return.
