CM Conrad Sangma Addresses Citizen Grievances in Ampati Community Interaction Programme

Ampati, July 26 – Chief Minister Conrad Sangma engaged directly with residents of South West Garo Hills during a block-level community interaction programme, part of the CM Connect initiative. The event, held in Ampati, aimed to address citizen grievances and foster closer communication between the government and the public.

Residents voiced concerns about poor road conditions and irregular power supply. Sangma addressed several issues on the spot, distributing cheques to beneficiaries and committing to further investigation of more complex problems.

Emphasizing the importance of ongoing communication, Sangma encouraged citizens to use the dedicated helpline number 1971 to voice concerns. He urged government officials to demonstrate serious commitment to resolving issues.

In support of local communities, cheques totaling Rs 3.20 crore were distributed to women’s groups and self-help organizations. Additionally, six individuals from various Garo Hills districts received agriculture response vehicles under the CM Elevate programme.

The event, attended by Power Minister A T Mondal and several MLAs from the region, underscored the government’s dedication to transparency and public participation. With the tagline “We Listen, We Resolve, We Deliver,” CM Connect aims to enhance governance by facilitating direct communication between citizens and the government.
