Sikkim Chief Minister Prem Singh Tamang unveiled a significant new work titled Vishwama Manav Sabhyata: Jatiya Brihat Itihas, Sanskriti ra Parampara, authored by TB Subba. The launch event, held by Kinar Prakashan Gangtok, highlighted the book’s extensive exploration of human civilization, language, and cultural heritage.
CM Tamang praised Subba’s book for its profound insights into human nature and its excellence in the Nepali language. As part of the state government’s support for literary and scholarly contributions, Tamang announced the purchase of 3,000 copies of the book and allocated a grant of Rs 10 lakhs to the author. This follows an earlier grant of Rs 10 lakhs that was provided to aid the book’s completion.

Initiatives mentioned include the Nepali Bhasa Manyata Diwas and an increased annual budget of Rs 1 crore for the Sikkim Academy. Future plans include establishing boards dedicated to language, literature, and art to support individuals in these fields.
