Agartala, Tripura – On August 5, a significant drug seizure occurred at Agartala Railway Station, where authorities apprehended Ratan Kumar, a 20-year-old from Munger district, Bihar, with 13 kilograms of dry ganja concealed in a trolley bag. The contraband, estimated to be highly valuable, was found near the parcel office.
Kumar was taken into custody, and a case has been filed against him under the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act. The police are currently investigating the origins of the drugs and possible links to larger trafficking operations.
This operation underscores the commitment of local law enforcement to crack down on drug trafficking. The seizure follows a recent human trafficking arrest in West Tripura, highlighting the ongoing efforts to combat illegal activities in the region.
