Thoubal: In a targeted operation across the hill and valley districts, security forces have uncovered a significant cache of weapons and ammunition. The search, which spanned the fringe areas of Mayai Keithel and Irong village within the Thoubal District, yielded several high-caliber arms and equipment.
The recovered items include:
- One INSAS Light Machine Gun (LMG) with three magazines
- One INSAS rifle with two magazines
- One AK-56 rifle with a magazine
- One country-made 9 mm pistol with a magazine
- One .32 pistol with a magazine
- 113 live ammunition rounds
- One “Baofeng” handheld communication set
