• The Assam Compulsory Registration of Muslim Marriages and Divorces Bill, 2024: Aimed at addressing child marriage by mandating official registration of Muslim marriages and divorces.
• The Assam Land and Revenue Regulation (Amendment) Bill, 2024: Seeks to protect Assam’s heritage and iconic structures through revised land and revenue regulations.Other key bills passed are:
• The Assam Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes (Reservation of Vacancies in Services and Posts) (Amendment) Bill, 2024: Enhances reservation policies for SC and ST communities.
• The Assam Official Language (Amendment) Bill, 2024: Updates official language use in the state.
