Naharlagun: In a decisive blow to the drug trade, the Naharlagun Police arrested two individuals, including a woman, during a targeted operation on November 27, 2024.
Acting on a tip-off, a police team swooped down on a suspected drug den in the G-Extension area. The operation, codenamed ‘Operation Dawn,’ led to the arrest of Rahul Roy (29) and Dagmi Rime (26).
During the raid, authorities seized 31.8 grams of suspected ganja from Roy and two vials containing suspected heroin from Rime.
Both accused have been booked under various sections of the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act, 1985. They are currently in police custody, and further investigations are underway.
The Naharlagun Police have vowed to continue their relentless efforts to curb drug-related activities in the region. They have urged the public to come forward and share any information that could aid in their mission to create a drug-free society.
