A tragic incident unfolded in Guwahati’s Japorigog area, where a youth lost his life following an altercation during a musical concert by singer Zubeen Garg on November 21.
Eyewitnesses reported that a scuffle broke out during the event in Krishnanagar, leading to a violent confrontation. Abhijit Das, one of the individuals involved, allegedly struck another youth, Biman Jyoti Baishya, on the head from behind.
Biman sustained severe injuries and was rushed to the Gauhati Medical College and Hospital (GMCH) for treatment. Despite medical efforts, he succumbed to his injuries on Wednesday, November 22.
The accused, Abhijit Das, has been arrested by the police. Authorities are conducting an investigation to ascertain the sequence of events and the motive behind the attack. Further details are awaited as the probe continues.
