Assam Police Arrest Drug Smuggler in Chapaguri, Seize Over 150 Grams of Heroin

In a significant crackdown on drug trafficking, Assam Police arrested Chandan Sah, a resident of New Bongaigaon, for his involvement in illegal drug smuggling along the national highway in Chapaguri, Chirang district. During the operation, authorities recovered 154.36 grams of suspected heroin, concealed in two soap boxes and 20 plastic containers.

The arrest was part of an ongoing effort by the Chirang police to combat the growing drug trade in the region. Following the seizure, police have launched a comprehensive investigation to gather more details about Sah’s activities and potential connections to larger smuggling networks.
