Indian Army Launches Spiritual Tour for Arunachal Pradesh Villagers under Operation SADBHAVANA

In a first-of-its-kind initiative, the Indian Army, under Operation SADBHAVANA and the Vibrant Village Programme, has organized a spiritual tour for 22 senior villagers from West Kameng and Tawang districts in Arunachal Pradesh.

Flagged Off on January 10, the tour aims to promote cultural preservation, spiritual growth, and national integration. The participants, including village headmen and ex-servicemen, many of whom are venturing beyond their remote villages for the first time, will visit key spiritual landmarks across India, including:
• World Buddhist Centre
• Rashtrapati Bhavan
• Dalai Lama Temple
• Mahabodhi Temple

The initiative reflects the Indian Army’s commitment to connecting border communities with the nation’s cultural heritage, fostering national pride and unity, and strengthening ties between remote regions and mainstream India.

Through this program, the Army seeks to enhance integration and create a sense of belonging among residents of border areas, reaffirming its role as a catalyst for socio-cultural empowerment, according to a statement from Defence PRO Guwahati.
