Air India Express Cancels Dozens of Flights Due to ‘Mass Sick Leave’ by Senior Crew Members

Air India Express faced disruption as it canceled over 70 international and domestic flights from Tuesday night to Wednesday morning due to a ‘mass sick leave’ taken by senior crew members, as stated by the airline’s spokesperson.

A sudden wave of sickness among a segment of the cabin crew resulted in last-minute reporting issues, causing delays and cancellations across the airline’s schedule. Air India Express is actively engaging with the affected crew to ascertain the reasons behind this unforeseen occurrence and is working diligently to resolve the issue swiftly, aiming to minimize inconvenience to passengers.

Passengers affected by the flight cancellations will be provided with the option of a full refund or complimentary rescheduling of their travel plans.

The airline’s spokesperson advised passengers scheduled to fly with Air India Express on Wednesday to verify the status of their flights before heading to the airport, considering the possibility of further disruptions due to ongoing discussions with the crew.
